  • ​Delivered testimony to the Prince George’s County Council in favor of the Immigration Initiative line item on the budget
  • Delivered testimony to the Maryland General Assembly and Senate in favor of House Bill 1362 & Senate Bill 835, respectively, “Maryland Law Enforcement and Governmental Trust Act”
  • Partnered with CASA, Maryland Delegate Carlos Sanchez, and Prince George’s County, Maryland District 1 Council Member Deni Taveras to sponsor a “Know Your Rights” immigration training & seminar
  • Participated in various rallies & marches to support immigration rights and various families affected by immigration laws in our community
  • Served as a community resource & liaison for the residents of Ward 8 of Washington, District of Columbia in the relocation and redevelopment of the Barry Farms community
  • Sponsored a “Don’t Shoot” Symposium to assist our community members with and foster a discussion between citizens and law enforcement
  • Established a yearly Back-to-School shoe giveaway in Richmond, Virginia which is still in operation today giving away over 4,000 pairs of shoes a year
  • Organized a Restoration of Voting Rights for ex-offenders in Virginia through partnership with the Governor’s office
