women's missionary society
The Johanna Morris Women’s Missionary Society (JMWMS) was organized in 1925 (bears the name of the Society’s first President) to serve all of God’s people in need of assistance. The JMWMS mission outreach services are provided to God’s people of all ages residing in Northern Prince George’s County, Metropolitan Washington, DC (DMV), Africa and the Caribbean; and to families in the United States affected by natural and man-made disasters. The JMWMS Mission work includes providing tangible (food, clothing, letters/cards of encouragement, visits to hospitals and Senior Citizen facilities, school supplies, primary sponsor of Turner Memorial’s hosting of Warm Nights, and/or financial support) and non-tangible (prayer and fasting) assistance/support to the aforementioned people of God.
